Premier Labellers have finalised their ISO certifications, which is the seal of approval from the international standards developed and published by the International Organisation for Standardisation.
What is ISO Certification?
ISO certification certifies that a management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure has all the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance. ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent, non-governmental, international organisation that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems.
ISO certifications exist in many areas of industry, from energy management and social responsibility to medical devices and energy management. ISO standards are in place to ensure consistency. Each certification has separate standards and criteria and is classified numerically.
What ISO Certifications do Premier have?
Premier have successfully received the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Certifications to demonstrate the standardised processes they implement to ensure their high quality output, meeting their customers expectations.
What Does ISO 9001 Certification Mean?
If an organisation bills themselves as "ISO 9001 Certified," this means the organisation
has met the requirements designated under ISO 9001 (which you can read in full here). ISO 9001 requires organisations to define and follow a quality management system that is both appropriate and effective while also requiring them to identify areas for improvement and take action toward those improvements.
As a result, it's typically understood that an organisation claiming ISO 9001 certification is an organisation with products and services that meet quality standards.Â
What Does ISO 14001 Certification Mean?
The ISO 14000 family of standards are developed by ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 207 and its various subcommittees. For a full list of published standards in the series see their standards catalogue.
ISO 14001 provides requirements with guidance for use that relate to environmental systems. Other standards in the family focus on specific approaches such as audits, communications, labelling and life cycle analysis, as well as environmental challenges such as climate change.
Such an exciting development for Premier Labellers as we continue to grow and develop our business. Tracie White (MD) says: We have been ensuring quality and tightening our standards continually and felt like now was the time to have the certification to give our customers the peace of mind they desire. We are incredibly happy to show off our hard work and are looking forward to a bright future for Premier.
