End of Wet-glue Era at Wilkins & Sons
The latest Premier machine is part of an on-going replacement programme of all Wilkin & Sons’ old wet-glue labelling machines.
Through replacing all their old wet-glue technology machines with Premier labellers, the company have firstly achieved faster, cleaner production by eliminating the excessive clean down-time associated with wet-glue labellers. Product changeover times have also now been minimised with the help of the Premier machine’s product database which stores and recalls all label set-up information at the touch of a button.
The change also allows Wilkin & Sons to be more versatile with their product label design. A much wider range of attractive self-adhesive label designs can now be used, providing a greater on-shelf impact for their own and private label products. Clear plastic labels that provide a “no-label look” can now be applied to glass containers using the Premier system.
The new Premier P200 system is also able to apply a security label to the top of each container giving Wilkin & Sons total versatility and flexibility to quickly transform the appearance of their products according to market trends now and in the future.

and perhaps the continuation of a trend in outsourcing...
