P250 Pharmaspec
The Premier P250 is a fully automatic front/back and or wraparound labelling system that is designed to handle a wide range of pharmaceutical self-adhesive labelling applications with the highest level of build quality and reliability.
The labelling head can apply front, back, partial wrap or full wrap labels to most shapes of container. The speed of the label head can be adjusted to match your production requirements.
The machine is equipped with a non-contact product sensor and optional build back sensor . The user friendly 8 way adjustment on the labelling head ensures that the label is applied precisely onto the container. The twin air controlled nip rollers and 3-phase high power stepper motors whichenable consistent and accurate label positioning at high speeds upto 400 per minute.
The P250 is desiged to form part of a Track and Trace fully integrated "Total Integrity" system that will:-
- Detect and verify the presence of a label(s)
- Read and verify 1D, 2D, Datamatrix and standard barcodes
- Detect and reject incorrect barcode/ pharmacode/missing labels
- Verify all rejects
- Secure reject collection bin
The system is designed and built to GAMP5 standards and can also supplied with full IQ/OQ Validation documentation should it be required.
All camera and code reading systems are integrated into the P250 and supplied as a complete package. Various thermal and hot foil transfer printers are also available as standard options.
Label Centralisation Technology
What is LCT? - LCT is a revolutionary new feature we have developed to meet the demand for a highly accurate and reliable labelling system that compensates for the variations in label placement when labelling non-round glass and plastic product containers.
How Does it Work? - LCT is a copyrighted software development for our Siemens S7 series based PLC control system. LCT actively calculates the centre point of each container that passes the product sensor and then feeds each label at the appropriate moment to ensure each product is labelled absolutely centrally.
What Level of Accuracy is Possible? - The encoder/motor combination we currently use has 0.2mm resolution which provides an overall +/-0.4mm margin on label placement. It is possible to utilise a higher resolution encoder/motor combination which would give even greater levels of sub-millimetre placement accuracy.
